When the World Goes Silent
The world is afraid to shatter the fairy tale it chose to believe in

What is the world silent about? About what the terrorist group Hamas has been doing for decades. It has carried out countless attacks against civilians, launched thousands upon thousands of rockets at Israel—again, targeting civilian areas, men, women, and children.
Why haven’t we heard a single word condemning Hamas all these years? Instead, the same rhetoric has been repeated over and over: that the “Palestinians” must be given what they want—“from the river to the sea.” In other words, every act of terror and every bloody method used by the ruling force in Gaza to achieve its goals was justified.
News of horrific terror attacks that claimed innocent lives never made the front pages. And if the “compassionate” press ever covered them, it was always within the framework of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, where Israel was inevitably painted as the aggressor, merely reaping the consequences of its own “policies.”
At the same time, any response to terrorist aggression—when the IDF or Shin Bet eliminated a terrorist—was always portrayed in the most negative light. The images of Gazans throwing up their hands in despair, tearing their hair out over the loss of another “breadwinner”—a terrorist whose “sacred duty” was to murder Jews—were widely circulated.
And now? We see the exact same narrative playing out again. October 7th changed nothing in the minds of that segment of the international community that has been spoon-fed a one-sided narrative, where Hamas are “freedom fighters” and Israel is the “occupier.”
The barbaric slaughter of innocent Israelis by death squads didn’t wake the world up—instead, it was justified at every turn as “resistance” (which includes rape). Massacres were excused within a “context” that dehumanized the victims in favor of the “Palestinian cause.”
Dismantling the myths surrounding these “freedom fighters” and their “permanent refugee” status (which, paradoxically, exists in defiance of UN laws) was out of the question—because it would shatter the established worldview. Truth must not interfere with the narrative.
Even after Hamas exposed its true face to the world, hostages—including those executed in captivity (as defined under the Geneva Conventions as clear-cut war crimes)—are now being used as bargaining chips to release convicted murderers with blood on their hands. And yet, the media is more concerned with the health and well-being of those prisoners than with the fate of hostages who have been held for nearly two years in Hamas tunnels. No one seems to care.
What will it take for reason to prevail over ignorance?
What will finally make the world turn around and see the monster it has been feeding—a creature whose hunger will never be satisfied?
The West has already felt its presence, yet it still doesn’t fully grasp the danger.
Complacency has never led to anything good.
Life is given only once—but for terrorism, life has no value.
Hamas is a vicious, merciless terrorist organization. It will never stop unless it is stopped.
It’s time to accept this fact—just as it’s time to accept another: Israel has always stood, stands now, and will continue to stand on the side of good, doing whatever it takes to rid its people of an existential threat.
