We are living in difficult times, and each of us has sacrificed much to protect our families and stand shoulder to shoulder in defense of Israel. In the moment of truth, we have seen who our true friends are and who only pretended to be. The masks have been removed. And, strangely enough, this has brought a sense of relief. Now we see more clearly, and we understand exactly where the threat comes from.
We cannot be intimidated. Our strength lies in unity, and there is no force stronger than the solidarity of our people. No matter how far we may be scattered across the world, our thoughts and actions speak for themselves.
Many may claim that this is personal, and therefore we cannot think rationally. Yes, damn right, it’s personal! October 7th tore out our hearts and laid bare our souls! This is personal—it has left us with wounds that will never heal.
No one has the right to tell us what to feel or how to act. We will not allow history to repeat itself, nor will we allow anyone to take our lives with impunity. Haters may continue to foam at the mouth, convinced of their righteousness, but it won’t change the fact that they are powerless in their hatred and will, sooner or later, drown in it.
We will not back down. We will keep fighting for a future without terror and blind hatred, a future where our children will live without constantly looking to the sky or hearing the wail of sirens warning of an air raid, because we, like everyone else on this planet, have the right to live in peace.
